About Execution Permissions and Deployment
Both Git and ZIP files can preserve execution permissions for *.sh scripts on Linux and macOS.
Therefore, if you package your scripts correctly, you don't necessarily need to direct the end user to run chmod +x before executing them.
However, if something else than zip/unzip commands are used to build or extract the Archives, or if the building happens on Windows, the execution permission bit might be lost.
